Nice store very crampt for a Bunnings but in the middle of Atherton.
Small but very friendly and helpful staff
Great store. Both the front and rear entrance is a bit annoying to take items to the car. Small isles barely any room in store. They really need an upgrade of location. But besides the location great experience friendly staff. Will always return for all my home and repair needs.
Went to bunnings Atherton today to buy a heap of tools and timber to do some needed repairs to a property I purchased. Spent forever looking around to find where everything I needed was and dealing with bored kids in the process. Not offered any help. No problem, I can sort that in my own. Found all the tools and headed up to the back counter and told the red headed man what I needed, sizes of timber, but informed him that I had no idea about timber and needed help, a lady behind interrupted and said "can I just pay for this", at that I was told the timber is up there, just go and look at it, we have some suitable for door frames but I'm just not sure what we have".... I walk out into the heat, in the sun, and before me is a heap of different piles of timber that I have no idea what is for what. I'm not a dumb female but I asked for help as it's out of my depth of knowledge. I walked back in and the guy is just standing at the counter, doesn't even ask if I needed any more help... Walk down stairs to my trolley and kids and go up to the front counter, and wait in line, tell the guy, look I have a problem, I was going to spend a heap of money here, but I've asked for help up there and was told to go look at the timber, problem is, I have no idea which is why I asked for help, he asked what I needed to make, told him a door frame, door sill, he said 'what a door jam? ', to which I responded, a door frame, thing that holds the door and you shut the door on... A door frame, sill, frame....I don't know what else it's called", to which he responded using a disrespectful mocking tone"oh well I don't know it as a door frame, it's a door jam", I told him I'm not an idiot and not to speak to me as though I was one simply because I asked for help, twice I asked for help, hey ignored up there and told to go look for myself and treated like an idiot here... Forget it and walked off in tears, not something I do often but there's only so much you can take... Treated like an idiot in front of my kids by 2 men, simply because I told them I needed help figuring out what timber I needed.Absolutely disgusted in the way I was treated and will happily shop elsewhere for supplies from now on.... Pictures are some of what I was going to buy and the timber I was told to go look at after saying 'I have no idea about timber, I've taken measurements, here's what I need to do'...... So much for their ads promoting helpful staff and knowledgeable staff.
The worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life! Not even 5 seconds after walking into the store, the man behind the counter, who was already serving someone, took the time to ask myself and my 3 family members "Are you right?!"and not in a nice way. Seriously?? Whatever happened to good old fashioned country hospitality? Needless to say It took me another 5 seconds to walk right out the door. I couldn't wait to post this review because people should be aware that clear and blatant racism still exists and it exists at Bunnings Atherton. Spend your good money elsewhere, like I did. Not good enough. I would've given zero stars because your customer service sucks!
